The photo shoot went well!
It's been a while since I've done a Self Portrait Thursday shot, but I'm back! Picked up this dress...so fabulous that I almost cried...for $3.00 at Goodwill's half-price sale!
It's vintage Sears. Mint condition. Fits me like a glove! I have my friend coming over later today to do a photo shoot of me in it. :-) But, I couldn't wait to even fix my hair or makeup, so I snapped a photo for the SPT group.

This is what a typical day is like for me. Dirty dishes to do. Stuff left out on the counter, living room, dining table,etc. Laundry waiting for me. But, it's all part of being a wife and mommy, which I LOVE!!! My mom gave me this great vintage apron and it helps make my domestic life a little more thrilling! :-)
Sorry guys. I'm sick. 'Had chicken soup for breakfast' kind of sick.
Camera batteries are dead. I SO don't feel like running to the store for new ones.
My dad took up (and put down) photography in the 1970's. I remember vividly that this tree had lots of sap on it.
I think this photo looks like a share-cropper's wife waiting on the kids to pile in the back of the pick-up truck, headed to an Ice Cream Social or something. I felt like I should have had clip-on or the screw-on type of earrings for this photo, as that's what they mostly wore back in my Great-Grandmother's day when they'd get gussied up in their 'Sunday-go-to-meetin' clothes.
The last of my Grandmother's formal gowns to show you. This one is bubble gum pink! My husband dislikes this dress entirely. Double-knit polyester, great lace jacket, Pepto-Bismol color...what's not to love?! If it were a tad smaller, I'd wear it for a night out on the town! (If I could find anyone who would go with me, that is!)

My in-laws have this fabulous vintage piece of patio furniture. It sort of reminds me of my Grandparent's patio furniture, so I'm pretty nostalgic about it.
