There are issues with copying and pasting from a word processing document to Vox, so I will only be able to provide you with a downloadable PDF of the pattern, located in my sidebar under My Links. One day after the Holidays I'll type up the whole pattern for you here in my post.
The pattern link is now in Ravelry.com and I have been dubbed an official designer. I guess I'd better start coming up with some original designs now!
Many thanks to my proof readers and test knitters, namely Bonnie, Donna, Jen, Katie, Linda, Sara and Susanna. Especially Linda Welch, who kindly gave permission for me to adapt her lace chart from the Spring Forwards socks. Such a gracious lady.
Also, Ellie of Crazy4Dyeing is now my supplier for the heavier laceweight yarn needed for the size 0 needles! Her new line, ElfinLace is a lovely 2-ply cashmere/silk blend in lovely semi-solids.
I finally worked up the gauge swatch for the Elfin Lace yarn...12 sts, 14 rows in stockinette equals 1 inch. I'll add this information to the PDF as soon as possible.
See THIS post.
Enjoy the pattern!

Little baby feet need little booties! I knit these with the Moc-A-Soc pattern found at Bekah Knits here. It's a great pattern. I'll make more in the future, no doubt!
HERE they are in my Ravelry folder.
Oooo...and she just came out with an adult size pattern for it as well!
I did leave off the inside sock, as I got sick and ran out of time for knitting. I used some recycled cashmere sweater yarn, held together to make a sport weight. I hope the baby is comfy in them. He should be...they're soft and warm!
I felt so badly that day, and had a wedding to go to later in the evening, that I only stayed for a short time at the baby shower. I felt terrible about leaving just after she opened the gift. Oh well, she's a friend. She understood, I'm sure!
I was just about to destash this yarn when I found a group contributing handmade items to our local hospital nurseries. The hospitals require easy-to-launder yarn, so most charity work given is acrylic.
This is a newborn baby pattern, free from Bev’s Country Cottage, called the On The Road Again Hat. Here’s the link: www.bevscountrycottage.com/bevs-baby-set1.html
The pattern calls for a cast on of 70, however, I used dpns and had a double-wide rib at the end of the round when I do this. I would cast on 72 or 68 to make the ribs come out right IF YOU decide to use dpns or circular needle only! If you seam it like the instructions say (doh!) you will not have a problem! I obviously did not even read the instructions clearly enough. Now I’m only going to do the hat…as the mitts and booties are seamed as well, and I prefer to do them in the round.

I was commissioned by the wonderful Patchwork Pottery Artist Laurraine Yuyama to make these cloths.
Yes, they are boring and I complained about having to make one stitch over and over again, but I’ve actually missed having something mindless to knit while just sitting around! Here's the pattern.
I think I’ll start another one this evening. :-)
I'm knitting some baby socks for a neighbor baby. She's just a newborn, but
by winter she should fit into these. I used acrylic baby yarn because you never know if a little one will be allergic to wool. I'd ask the mother to check her for an allergic reaction, but these are to be a surprise. Oh...by the way...they are of Irish descent and named her Arin, so I chose this lovely green. So, I read somewhere that if you need 5 dpns and only have 4, you can substitute a 'one size up or down' needle for the 5th needle. I tried it and I think it gives me a very slight irregularity in the stitches. (Which drives the OCD in me buggy!!!) Anyway...it's not perfect, but I'll do even better on my next pair. (And I'll buy a second set of size 0's so I have all the same size needles!)
I don't know if anyone, anywhere, at some point in time has said it...but I came up with this quote today while telling my friend of my newfound obsession with sock knitting:
"Socks are the potato chips of the knitting world...
you can't make just one!"
Except that technically, ...you CAN only make one, as in a stocking, or just never finishing a pair...but you really can't make one pair and not have the drive to make more stirred up deep within you!
All royalties for using this quote can be sent directly to me. Har-har!

I started this sock late last night. I wanted to try a proper gusset & heel flap heel...but without committing to a bunch of knitting if it didn't work. It's from the Socknitter's website.
I have explained my challenge in detail under the individual photos. (click the thumbnails.)
Later!
Oooooo....look! My dream of someone using MY handspun yarn to create a beautiful garment has come to fruition! Altair's Vinyard has become a gorgeous lace scarf! You may remember that I had a swap with Altair for those great Pysanky Eggs. This is what she came up with for the yarn I spun and dyed for her. Altair, you make me proud!!! More photos in the photos section.(Altair's photos blogged with permission.)
