Pablo's Pride - alpaca hand-carded and spun yarn

Pablo's Pride - alpaca hand-carded and spun yarn
I decided to leave this mini skein it's natural color. It is made from the fibers off of Palbo the Alpaca seen in my alpaca pictures. It's cute, soft, and so small an amount that I really don't know what to do with it! (I thought about adding it to my Etsy shop, but it's only half of an ounce. I might just check my list of tiny knitting and crochet projects that my Craftster friends suggested.)

One cool thing that I have seen done with smaller skeins is to use them to create a shawl, usually circular that ends up being a rainbow of yarns. They are very attractive. I think there's one in "A Gathering of Lace" I do love how soft alpaca is. For my master spinning class last summer we had to blend alpaca with wool and then knit a miniature shawl. We used llama the same way to knit a miniature vest.

Sounds delightful! I've just now come to know the splendor of 'free-form' knit and crochet...(see my wists link) so that sounds like the perfect type of project for these mini-skeins!

Thanks!
